A couple of days ago, it was announced that a special preview of Jurassic World: Dominion would be showing before Fast & Furious 9. This would be the fifth film in the Jurassic Park franchise and serve as a sequel to 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. And it seems that Summer Games Fest wanted in on some of the dino hype because it was announced that a sequel for Jurassic World: Evolution is coming! Jeff Goldblum, who starred in three of the five Jurassic films as Dr Ian Malcolm, attended the online gaming event to announce Jurassic World: Evolution 2 will be arriving later this year.
Jurassic World: Evolution is a simulation game that was released in 2018 by developers Frontier Developments (Planet Coaster, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3). It allows players to create and handle their very own dinosaur park. As a fan of the film franchise, Jurassic World: Evolution was a delightful experience, so I eagerly await the sequel and am looking forward to seeing what it has in store for players. Hopefully better security systems than the actual park?
The announcement trailer is below:
Jurassic World: Evolution 2 will be stomping its way to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam later this year. There is no specific release date at this time.
