A Plague Tale: Requiem Announced at E3

A Plague Tale: Requiem might not be so innocent.

In a trailer that features way too many rats for anyone to handle, A Plague Tale: Requiem was announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, coming to Xbox Series X/S, Windows 10, and will be available day one on Game Pass.

Close up of the main character of A Plague Tale: Requiem she's cut up slightly, and looks ready to take on a big fight.

Not much was shown in the trailer other than the aforementioned literal tsunami of rats that swarmed down the streets of some village in France, and a few shots of what appear to be scenes from the rest of the game. No gameplay was shown, but everything appears to be in engine for the most part, but that remains to be seen.

The original game saw players control of Amicia de Rune, which seems to be the case for A Plague Tale: Requiem. You would need to utilise stealth in order to avoid hostile encounters, but the trailer for the sequel sees Amicia taking the rats head on, so potentially there could be more action involved with this title. Amicia also seems to be separated from her younger brother Hugo, so we’ll have to wait and see how that affects gameplay too.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is once again being developed by Asobo entertainment, and it seems like Focus Home Interactive are going to be in the publisher seat once more.
