After E3’s Indie Showcase came independent gaming company Freedom Games’ panel, where they continued the theme by showcasing what indie games they’ve been working on.
The first game that was briefly shown was Caromon, a pixelated adventure game that sees the player travel through various landscapes. This game will be released on Steam and for the Nintendo Switch in 2022.
Cat Café Manager is an adorable simulation game that takes place in a cat café. As the manager, you must take the customers orders and make sure they’re happy as well as taking care of the cats that stroll around the area. This looks like a delightful and relaxing game and will be available for Steam and the Nintendo Switch in 2022.
Continuing the animal theme was another simulation game, this time set in a dog shelter. To The Rescue looks like a very cute and heart-warming game about the workings of a dog shelter. And, furthermore, 20% of the games’ sales will go towards the Pet Finder Foundation, a charity that works with dog shelters and rescue groups in North America. The game will be available for PC and Mac via Steam, as well as Nintendo Switch later this year.
Slaughter League may sound like a serious game, but it’s essentially Ninja Warrior meets Fall Guys. Combining silly physics with various obstacle courses, Slaughter League looks like an extremely fun and addictive game and will be released in 2022.
One Lonely Outpost is a futuristic farming game. Look after robot cows and chickens (yes really) and grow alien crops. It looks like a delightfully strange and relaxing game, and the early access will be available on Steam in 2022.
And, lastly, Anuchard. This is an RPG fantasy game. Upgrade your weapons, fight various enemies and travel through mysterious landscapes. And what is your weapon? A giant bell! Anuchard will be released on Steam on September 8th, 2021.
Freedom Games have proved themselves to be a strong gaming company, and this was a very good E3 introduction. Just like the Indie Showcase that occurred before this, my gaming wishlist is very long and I am very excited to play a lot of these games. This is also a company that I will be keeping an eye on from now on.
